BRAND FEATURE: PUBLIC SCHOOL

PUBLIC SCHOOL was created and brought to fruition just a couple seasons ago and Ive had my eye on them since day one.  Not because the guys at the helm happen to be my colleagues and friends but that these guy just get it and got it… but that shouldn’t come as a surprise Dao-Yi Chow & Maxwell Osborne both veterans of the creative side of fashion design working with big brands not to mention being in tune with the dog-eat-dog New York City grind and products of the public school system decided to launched this label aptly titled “Public School” in two short months on pure instinct. The New York instinct has given these guys a sense that translates to fuctional, rugged, multi-purpose garments that manage to fuse attitude with street swag and with strong attention to detail. Some items are branded with a black apple and feather logo, signifying both rebellion and a thirst for knowledge. I like when a brand actually has a realistic meaning in there branding that really translates in their product line. These guys have recently gained the attention of CFDA along with New York City Economic Development Corporation to announce that PUBLIC SCHOOL will join the first 12 designers that have been chosen for tenancy in the CFDA INCUBATOR program, Well done fellas we here at MATERIALOLOGY are impressed and look forward to your bright future.
